HB2U

Morning guys! :) Some of you who follow me over on FB may recognise this card that I posted on the Time for Tea Designs page early last week. I told you I still had to get my butt into gear and get a blog post typed up for that card.. so here it is! :)

I printed the image out pretty large at 5.5 and went to town colouring up that gorgeous gown of hers. I used a bunch of blues.. and then stumped myself as to what colour to make the banner. She looked like a classy lady, so I went with a red ribbon and red polka dots on the flags (soo not classy!! LOL!)

I kept the rest of the card pretty simple using some red cardstock from SU! to matt my patterned paper from a Teresa Collins 6x6 pack. I edged my image panel with a Kaisercraft stamp in Memento Dandelion ink, and added some yellow gingham ribbon to match.

With the sentiment already being a part of the image (super handy, and another excuse to print her out a little bigger than you normally would) I added a sprinkling of yellow embellishments, including a Prima flower, a couple buttons some yellow and gold sequins and some gold liquid pearls.. all in a diagonal across the card of course! :)

That's all from me today. Be sure to stop by the Time for Tea Designs blog regularly to catch up on DT makes, updates and new releases coming your way. It's always happening over there. xo

Gotta Love Wryn!!

Morning guys! :) Not long ago I made a promise to myself to keep my blog up to date with my recent commissions, so this is me keeping up an effort with that.

This is a commission from earlier on in the month for a lovely regular who wanted a thank you card that her daughter could give. The brief was pretty much.. apples. I had to run with it! ;)

I used the gorgeous Wryn - School Girl from Tiddly Inks. I coloured her up using my ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from a waaay older My Mind's Eye pack. I thought the red and green of the papers would match nicely with the apple theme.

I cut the apples with my Cameo, die cut some banners using Spellbinders dies, added a bunch of froofroo, layers, ribbon, web, rhinestones, sequins, liquid pearls and BAM the job was a good'n.

I get asked a tonne how I create my sentiments. Lately I have been using this Lawn Fawn alpha stamp set like crazy, it's called Milos ABC's and is the PERFECT size for cards, and it fits a bunch of my dies too, like the one above from Xcut.

PSSST!! While you're here.. LOOKIE!!

COMING SOON AT THAT CRAFT PLACE!

That's all I got for ya today. I hope you likey! ;) xo

Betty. Betty Boop!

I can't believe I forgot to share this card with you all back last month when I made it. Bad Lou Mac!! Yet again, another kick up the butt to get my photos organised. ;)

Black, red, white and kraft. That is all.

A big red organza bow with a huge gem in the centre. Some pretty stick pins and a whole bunch of pearls and Stickles! :) LOVE! Such a pretty design, even if I do say so myself. I'm just a total sucker for diagonal stripes, and that red paper just makes me super happy! :) xo

Corey Bear

Who doesn't love James Bear from Lili of the Valley? We all do, right?!

This was a recent commission for a lovely lady who came to my FB page after being recommended by a fellow card maker - incredibly sweet!!

The lady was after a bear - I showed her James and BAM.. she was more in love than I already was! :) I coloured him up to be a cute little brown bear and matched him with some papers from Echo Park.

I added a birthday sentiment and a personalised name. A big twill stripe bow and a bunch of buttons, brads, sequins and liquid pearls.. as always. I'm really making a concious effort to add buttons to my projects lately, as I want to order more, but also wanna use up the ones I have first. It's such a vicious cycle! LOL!

That's all I got for ya today, I hope you likey. xo

Happy.. Easter..

Morning guys. I'm back again to share another card I made waaay back in April.. for Easter. I know it's bad of me to be this far behind, but this has spurred me on to create a better organisation system for my photos. Photos I've taken, photos I've edited and photos that need to be shared both on my blog and on FB!

I used the cute little dinosaur - which you guys have all seen 1000 times before over here. I paired her up with some papers from My Minds Eye and I created a whole bunch of die cuts - banners, eggs. I used up some more of my ribbon, by adding two strips across the front of the card and creating a double bow to which I added a button to. I then added buttons to the rest of the card, some pretty SU! brads and a bunch of Liquid Pearls. Job done. xo

Thanks!

Morning guys, I'm back again today to share some inspiration using products which can be found at My Mum's Craft Shop.

This is a super simple card from me using only one stamp set from Paper Smooches - Bold Buzzwords.

I used Onyx Black Versafine to stamp the sentiment and I used
Memento - Tangelo
Memento - Pear Tart
to stamp the different sized stars.

It started off by just being a couple clusters of stars, but I couldn't stop and ended up creating a pattern across the whole card. I hope you like my super CAS one layer card!! That's all from me today.

Be sure to stop by the MMCS Blog each day to gather your inspiration from the awesome DT! xx

Get Well Wishes

It's time for a brand new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers today.

This challenge theme was set by our lovely Shelly!! She wanted us to UPCYCLE something you wouldn't normally use on a card.

The awesome name of our challenge is

RAGS TO RICHES

There are loads of examples over at the Passion for ProMarkers blog. The girls have rocked this theme and really thought outside of the box!!

For my card.. I had no idea what I really wanted to do. ..and then it hit me. Why not make a shaker card using some packaging?

When I bought my new Cuttlebug plates a couple months ago I held onto the packaging.. and now I know why!! ;) It's time has come.

I coloured up the adorable Bathtime Bobbi  from DigiStamp Boutique in a green towel.. so cute. At first I was gonna make a baby card with this little guy, but some awesome people over on my FB page suggested a Get Well card.. I loved that idea and rolled with it.

I filled my shaker card with die cut vellum stars, a bunch of sequins and some gemstones and pearls. I made the big mistake of forgetting to talc the edges of my foam tape and a few of the embellishments have stuck to the inside.. not to worry - it still looks pretty, and you get the idea! ;)

I kept the rest of the card pretty simple, adding a blue grosgrain ribbon to match my papers from Carta Bella, and the sentiment from Amy R stamped and embossed on a little speech bubble die cut.

I hope you get an idea of what we're wanting to see this week. I cannot wait to browse through your blogs and see what you come up with for this awesome challenge! xo

Two Tomboys Together

Pheeew!! I have no idea what I'm even doing here - I've had scheduled posts for pretty much the entire month, so I'm back to reality and typing them up as I go again.. unless I can find the time to schedule more for the rest of the month. Here's hoping.

So today I thought I'd pop in and share a waaay older commission from me (one which I don't think I've shared with you before) for a lovely lady who wanted a piece of 'art' for her daughters wall.

I made this piece super dimensional and slightly larger than 6"x6" - perfect to fit inside a shadow box.

I coloured BFF Wryn and Emmy from Tiddly Inks to look like her daughter and her best friend - they're two little tomboys so pink was out of the question. I went with blue, green, purple and a splash of red.

I added some awesome brick transparency from Hambly along with different washi tape and some patterned paper from Echo Park.

I went crazy with the embellishments - adding buttons, 3D stars, brads, gemstones, Liquid Pearls and some Firework sprinkles. I love how this turned out and the recipient was over the moon with it too!

That's all I got for ya today - I'm off to wait for some packages in the mail and colour up the next batch of images for DT work and orders. Laaavly. xx

Kitty, Kitty.

How do?! I'm just the worst. Back in April/May I was totally neglecting my blog.

It wasn't that I wasn't making cards and projects. It wasn't that I wasn't taking photos and editing them. I was just failing to type up the blog posts! Bad Lou Mac!

So for the next few weeks I'll be having a couple throwback posts, to show you projects I made back in April and early May.

Have you SEEN these kittys from Tiddly Inks?! They come in a set of three and they're the cutest ever. I love how fluffy they are. Hah.

I used a waaaaaay older paper pack from Basic Grey called.. Wags and Whiskers. Such weird colours, but I love the patterned. I had to add a couple splashes of turquoise and blue and then I was a little happier about it! LOL!

I hand stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using a Lawn Fawn alpha set. This was also the perfect opportunity to break out those matching rub-ons too. It's been so long since I used any rub-ons so this was perfect.

I finished up this order with a whole load of bling, dew drops, liquid pearls, stickles, buttons and ribbon. They're so cute! xo

Spots & Stripes

Morning guys! :) Another day, another card.

This time I'm bringing you guys some inspiration using products available at My Mum's Craft Shop! This week the DT girls are showing off their creations that include spots and stripes! Very exciting.

I used a stamp set from Whimsy Stamps - Happy Hello. I LOVE this set. So many cute little motifs. I've been using this set to decorate my planner more than anything - this is the first card I've created with this set.

I know what you're thinking.. but where's the diagonal stripes?! YOU LOVE DIAGONAL STRIPES!

Ohhh, against the grain I go! ;)

*NEW* Clearly Whimsy Stamps - Happy Hello

I used the larger of the two arrow strips and created a striped pattern towards the bottom of the card using Blue Raspberry Hybrid Ink and Pear Tart Memento. I then added three little orange dots and some stars using Tangelo Memento ink.

I then stamped the large hello in Onyx Black Versfine ink and added a spritz of Dandelion Fireworks to finish off this rather simple card. Looking back, I wish I'd created the whole design on the card base to create a one layer card. Never mind.

I hope you can stop by the MMCS Blog throughout the week to catch up with the other work from the DT girls. Who doesn't love spots and stripes?! xo

Dino Appearance

Morning guys! :) I'm popping in to share a recent order for a little lad.

I created this card for a girl I used to go to school with. She spotted a dinosaur card I created waaay back in the year, and she knew she wanted a similar card made for her little boy come his birthday this month.

I printed little Dino off onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock and added some shading to him using my Warm Grey ProMarkers. The cardstock actually took the ink really well. I then paper pieced his little underbelly using the same papers I used for the rest of the card from My Mind's Eye.

I added a banner, the little boys name and a big number 2 for his 2nd birthday! :) Very cute.

That's all from me for today! Happy Sunday. xo

Travel Plans

Another week down.. sheesh. Can you even believe it?!

So I'm back with another one of these notebooks.. for the same girl as the CUPCAKE NOTEBOOK I created.. (*whispers* - she's addicted!!) but this time round it's for holiday planning!!

This is Wryn - Joy Ride from Tiddly Inks
teamed up with

I coloured everything up with my ProMarkers and FlexMarkers in bold, bright colours to match my papers from My Minds Eye. So fun! :) I tried out a new pink combo and I loved it.. but I didn't write it down. I am the worst. I know. LOL!!

Since the scene I created by placing stuff in MS Word took up so much space on the front of the notebook, I kept the rest of the design pretty simple. I created a couple strips for the worlds Travel and Holiday and used a word element from the patterned paper nearer the bottom to balance out the dark grey areas of the image.

Then I went to town with the froofroo. The usual culprits. I get tired of typing everything I used.. you guys know the score by now! ;)

.. and that was that. That's all from me for today. I'll be back soon with more paper-y goodness to share with you all. Never fear. xo

Watt's Up?

Morning guys! Can you even believe we're almost halfway through June?

Me neither! 2014 is going at super sonic speed.

Today I thought I'd share a SUPER simple card with you all using a set from My Favorite Things that I absolutely fell in love with the moment I seen it!

and matching dies

I die cut the bulb itself from white cardstock and inked the edges with Summer Sky Memento ink so it didn't look so flat. I then die cut the heart element using some ruby red cardstock. I love how cute it is!

I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set using Onyx Black Versafine ink straight onto my patterned paper from Bo Bunny - Modern Miss collection

A super clean and simple card, perfect for loads of occasions.

Be sure to stop by the blog regularly to check out inspirational makes from our awesome design team! :) xo

For The Boys

Morning guys! Here's my Passion for ProMarkers post ON TIME today!! ;) I know.

I'm sure everyone knows it's Father's Day this Sunday. Are we all sorted?!

The challenge this week is

BOYS AND MEN

We wanna see those masculine cards for the boys and men in our lives.

I created this card for my cousin, who turns 18 in two days. I can't quite believe it. How come people grow up so quickly these days? I used this awesome image from Rendonkadoodles - Trendy Teen Boy. I love those headphones - they look very Dre!!

I coloured him up to match some waaay older papers from Cosmo Cricket which I had forgotten about - but then I remembered how awesome they were. Perfect for this card. I cut an 18 using my Cameo and layered the image onto a squiggly circle also cut with my Cameo. I then used some Xcut dies to create my stars, I fussy cut my Paper Smooches banner and I handstamped and heat embossed my sentiments.

As always I laid out my embellishments in a diagonal strip from top to bottom - I just can't get out of it.. but it doesn't matter, because I still love how it looks! I used a bunch of Doodlebug brads and sequins, SU! brads, MMMS Value Embellishments and some liquid pearls. Yum! :) Who said you couldn't embellish a male card?!

That's all from me today. Be sure to stop by the Passion for ProMarkers blog to soak up some more inspiration from the awesome DT girls for this challenge. xo

Notetaking for Ya Cupcakes!!

Hey guys! I'm popping in to share a notebook with you all today.

This was part of a commission for one of my lovely regulars. She has her very own Cupcake business which you can find HERE on FB!! I wish I lived closer to her, because everything she makes is so pretty and I want to gobble it all up!!

I used the cutie pie Wryn - Eat More Cake to adorn the front of the notebook. I coloured her up to match some papers from an older My Minds Eye collection (which I think I have just about used up now - result) I used a bunch of scraps to create the bunting along the bottom of the design, added a load of froofroo with gemstones, brads, liquid pearls and cabochons.

I stamped NOTES onto a Paper Smooches banner and fussy cut that out to adhere it to the top of the design. I couldn't stop there.. so as a final touch I stitched on a bunch of buttons here and there before I adhered the design to the notebook.

Job done. LOVE!

Thank you for stopping by today. xo

Great Grandma

Hello guys. I'm here today to share one of my latest commissions with you all.

This was created using a little Tiddly Inks mash up.

I coloured both of these girls up to look like they had curly hair (I'm not gonna lie, it was a challenge. Although I'm not 100% happy with how it turned out I think it still done the job. I need a lot more practice). I went with a pink and mint combo on their dresses to match my papers from My Minds Eye. So pretty.

I added a bunch of froofroo, layers, and two sentiment strips. The usual.

Thank you for stopping by today. xo

Dad, You're the BEST!

Happy Wednesday, everyone! :)

It's my turn to provide you lots with some INSPIRATION using My Mum's Craft Shop products today.

The theme over on the blog this week is BOYS AND MEN. What with Father's Day approaching, this is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your male card making skillz! ;)

For my card I used the older Pollycraft digi stamp, but little Rusty is exactly the same!

I also used a sentiment from Clearly Sentimental More Essential Sentiments put out by My Favourite Things, I also stamped it onto a strip of cardstock cut with Die-namics Sentiment Strips 2. Loads of MMCS goodies today!!

I coloured cute Rusty with ProMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye Record It - Here is Happy. LOVE that diagonal stripe paper! I'm such a sucker for stripes.

I finished the card up using some Clear Coloured Gem Dots, a couple lime green brads and some sequins. Done! :) Thank you for stopping by. xo

You are Perfect

Hey guys! :)

Today is the day I share something a little different from me.

The crazy cat that is Erin Sparkles kept bugging me ;) to join the amazing Ditzie Digi Design team. What an honour!! I really would have loved to, but I didn't want to commit to something I didn't really have time to commit to 100%! Instead, we both came to a compromise.. I would create a Guest Designer card.

I got to pick the digi I fancied the most. The DDD Etsy shop is full of awesome designs from various artists, but in the end I went with The Mad Hatter by Kelly Rhodes after about two days of deliberation.

I wanted to go with an unusual combo.. of blue and yellow. I also wanted this lady to have turquoise hair.. because I want turquoise hair! LOL. It's a fave combo of mine. Cool Aqua, Duck Egg, Turquoise, Marine, Petrol Blue.

I stamped a sentiment from Hero Arts onto a MFT Pierced Tag, added a couple die cut hearts and some brads and sequins. Job DONE!

Although this is very different from my usual style, I totally enjoyed colouring her up. It's good to step a foot outside your comfort zone every now and again. Please head over to the Ditzie Digi Design Etsy store and check out the amazing designs! There is guaranteed to be a design that catches your eye! ;)

That's all from me for today! Thanks for stopping by. xo

Green and Pink BAM!

I shared this card over on Facebook back last week.. and would ya believe it.. today was the first free day on my blog to share it with you all.. I KNOW.

Sometimes I trick myself into thinking I don't make enough cards.. *LIES* I think I'm plodding along quite nicely.

This is the adorable Charlotte from Sugar Nellie. I've had her. for. ages. and only just opened the packaging to ink her up for this order.. is that bad of me?! VERY BAD LOU MAC!! I'm sorry.. :(

I've coloured her using ProMarkers in bright, bold lime green and hot pink *BAM* to match her to some Echo Park papers. LOVE me that huge pink chevron I used in the background.

There was a lot of fuss going on in this card. I cut her name and age using my Cameo, hand stamped both sentiments and hand cut the banner. Added a whole load of sequins, Liquid Pearls and brads.. the list is endless.

A whole load of froofroo, some might say!

That's all from me today! Happy Monday. xo

Sunday 1 June 2014

You're So Special

A nip and a punch for the first of the month!! JUNE ALREADY!! I KNOW!!

Let's get to it! It's time for a brand new monthly challenge over at My Mum's Craft Shop!! This month Kitty wants us to INK IT UP!

I used my most FAVOURITE ever papers from Doodlebug. I could sit and stroke them all day.
Doodlebug Designs Sequins - Assorted. I used a combination of the pink ones on this card.

I stamped and embossed the flowers and leaves onto coloured cardstock and added depth using my ProMarkers. I then fussy cut them out and adhered them to the card in a layout that was pleasing to the eye. I added dimensionals to some and popped the ends of the leaves up. I then added Doodlebug sequins here and there and some pink liquid pearls to finish the embellishing off.

I stamped a greeting from Amy R - Great Birthday Greetings set onto the woodgrain paper from Doodlebug in Onyx Black Versafine ink to make sure it stood out against the pattern. I added a strip of black cardstock to the right edge of the patterned paper and BAM. Job's a good'un.

Super easy!! So grab those stamps and pretty inks, and go crazy! We wanna see you INK IT UP! I can't wait to see every ones take on this challenge.

Head over to the MMCS Blog NOW and have a gander at the other awesome inspiration from the DT girls! You will not be disappointed. xo
