Butterflies at Passion for ProMarkers

Evening! :) This is gonna be a quick one as it's a little bit painful to type. I've cut my index finger nail way to short and it's on FYAH! Pulling coins out of the till all day at work hasn't helped the situation, but never the less.

NEW CHALLENGE over at Passion for ProMarkers this week!! We wanna see..

BUTTERFLIES

Uh huh! I decided to create a very rare - from me - SMASH* page as I had a butterfly quote that I wanted to include on my project which would have been a little too large for the front of a card.

I used the gorgeous Girl & Butterflies from Dilly Bean Designs. I've coloured her up in pinks and yellows to match some of the papers I've used from My Minds Eye.

Hope you likey! :)

Please stop by the Passion for ProMarkers blog and see the other flutterby creations the team have got for ya. xo

La-La Land Catch Up!

Evening guys! :) I'm stopping by with a little catch up post with my La-La Land Crafts projects from the last fortnight! :) I've had the most delicious Saturday I've had in a long while, and now I'm just taking the time to sit and chill for a while.

So, last week we had the theme of 'Special Lady' - so I decided to make a 21st birthday card for a girl I work with who turns.. well.. 21.. at the end of this month! :) I used the gorgeous Heart Balloon Marci and sat her on the Garden Bench! :) I added the 21 to her balloon in MS Word and added some colour with a matching ProMarker.

I die cut a slice of vellum using the gorgeous Bird Cage Die, which is *quite possibly.. my favouritest. Ever. to add something behind the circle sentiment. I went with a little nautical theme with the red, white and blue. I used a gorgeous paper pad from My Minds Eye Come Away With Me!! Gorgeous! I've added a bunch of WOC and Ribbon Girl goodness as well as some baby blue Liquid Pearls here and there. Oh, and that banner has been created using the little banner stamps from Whimsy Stamps. Fave!!

This week our theme was 'St. Patrick's Day', so naturally, I had to use Leprechaun Luka! :) I've coloured him with the usual ProMarkers and FlexMarkers and made a bright, spring card! He had to have ginger hair, right? I've coloured him up in greys and greens. I think he looks very fetching, and those stockings. Heck yes! LOL!!

I've die cut a few Lily of the Valley from vellum and added them behind the main image panel. I've kept the card pretty simple by just adding a slice of patterned paper and an embossed panel. I think the bright cardbase helps it all pop and the yellow glow around Luka ties the whole design together! :)

So that's me caught up with it all! :) I'ma hit FB and catch up there! Nighty. xo

The Timelessly Odd Hop

Happy Friday to you, crafty friends!

hop graphic
Some Odd Girl and Timeless Twine decided to get together for a little playdate, and we are SO pleased you’ve joined us!  We hope you’ll find plenty of inspiration as you make your way around to all of the designers’ personal blogs, and be sure to leave a little love at each stop along the way, because there are THREE gorgeous spools of Timeless Twine and one $25 gift certificate to Some Odd Girl up for grabs!
Our hop, now being lovingly referred to as “The Timelessly Odd Hop”, runs now through Sunday, March 17th at midnight EST, so you have plenty of time to make your way around the circuit.  It’s a big hop, ‘cuz we have TONS of amazing designers who were absolutely excited to combine their love for all things cute, quirky, clever, and crafty, so take your time and ENJOY YOUR JOURNEY!

If you've arrived here from the one and only Leah the Orange, you're on the right track. If not, head back to the Some Odd Girl blog and start from the.. start! :)

Thank you for stopping by to see what Timelessly Odd inspiration I've got for ya..

I decided to use the gorgeous Summery Mae on my project. I made a Google search a couple weeks back and was disappointed to see a serious lack of inspiration when it came to this sweetie, so I'm about to fill in that gap a little! :) This delight was released just over a year ago, back last March. Time for a revival just before the summer strikes, no?

I sat and looked at her a while before I chose how to colour her up. I counted seven stripes on her gorgeous maxi skirt.. seven colours in the rainbow. BAM! Off I ran with that idea. This is the first time in forEVER I have coloured an image with confidence before even looking to see it I had papers that match (luckily I did.. else this coulda ended much, much worse).

I printed Summery Mae out at about 4.7" tall, so it was a larger area for me to colour. I decided I'd then have to make a larger card to accommodate for all the goodness I wanted to fit on there! Including the gorgeous Black and Kraft Twist Twine from Timeless Twine.

If you’ve just dropped by randomly and haven’t been hopping from the beginning, here’s how it’s all going down:
So there’s your hop list!  You don’t have to visit everyone in order, but you do have to visit EVERYONE if you want to win the goodies!  And that’s your cue, friends!  Our winners will be announced on Monday, March 18th.  Happy hopping, and GOOD LUCK!

One for the Ladies at Passion for ProMarkers

I'm back! :) Eventually. I gotta admit, I'm finding it very hard to get back into the swing of DT commitments, but hopefully the decisions I've made over the past few days are gonna help. I've decided to take a step back from a couple things until I have the energy and the ability to free up some of my time for crafting. I've been feeling very drained lately and a lot of things have been getting on top of me.

All of that aside, who's ready for a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers?

You? Well we want to see you're creations FOR THE LADIES. Do you have a special woman in your life? You mam, grandma, daughter, sister, close friend? Make something which celebrates them!!

I decided to make a welcome home/ get well soon/ Mother's day/ thinking of you for my Grandma! :) I used the gorgeous Roses are Red, Violets are Blue from Saturated Canary and coloured her up with.. ProMarkers! :) These images are perfect for practicing hair, especially this one. Look at it all. It's gorgeous! :)

I've used some left over papers from a My Minds Eye collection. I love the orange and pale teal combo. I didn't want to go all pink and girly, as that's not how Mamar rolls!

I've used a circle sentiment from Lili of the Valley 'You Make Life Wonderful' - so sweet. I've die cut it using a Spellbinders circle die and tucked it under my triple bow I've made using my bow easy. I added a bunch of Wild Orchid Crafts goodness. I've tried to add some movement to the card by arranging them in a kinda swirl to the left and right of the image. I added some gems, pearls and liquid pearls to fill in the smaller gaps. I like how it turned out.

Lastly, I've created a little banner using some Whimsy Stamps which I stamped with Brilliance Graphic Black ink onto the little scraps of patterned paper I had left sitting about. :) Waste not want not. I think I'll get another card out of that collection and then it'll be another one done and used up! Yippeee!!

Head over to the Passion for ProMarkers challenge blog and see what my amazing teamies have created for the lady in their lift! :)

So.. I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:

Good morning Tiddly Inkers! :) This is a new, and my last, challenge over at Tiddly Inks

I decided to use a cutie from Mini and Many Friends, which I've coloured up using ProMarkers and die cut using a circles Spellbinder. I've added red faux stitching and some Platinum Stickles around the outside.

I embossed the red panel of the card with the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Provocraft. I added some turquoise stripe washi and a line of red twine with a little enamel heart atop the knot to finish off this CAS card!!

Head over to the Tiddly Inks challenge blog and see what other amazing creations my top notch teamies have gots for ya!

Fab Friday at Tiddly Inks

I made this card up a while ago as part of a commission for a lovely lady. It was her son's third birthday, and she wanted a mixture of trains and dinosaurs! The Conductor from Tiddly Inks was perfect!! I coloured him up in a red, orange, blue and grey combo to match my papers from My Minds Eye and the slice of dinosaur digi paper I bought from Etsy.

Head over to the Tiddly Inks challenge blog to see what the other ladies have got to inspire ya! ;)
