Your FAVE Tiddly Inks Image

Morninggg!! So pleased you could stop by today for Fabulous Friday. I know what you guys were thinking. You seen the title and were like.. it's SO gonna be a Wryn!! Well.. I got news for you people!! IT AIN'T!!

I've totally gone against the grain today and created something with.. dun dunnn.. DUNNNNN..

Lilli Claire's Bouquet.
New fave. HAHA! I say that EVERY time I colour up a different Tiddly, don't I? How can't you though - every character has so much.. well.. character! LOL!

I've coloured this cutie up using my usual medium. ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. I've cut her out using my largest circle nestie, and stamped some distressed looking splotches around the edges using some yummy Sage Shadow ink from SU!

My papers are from My Minds Eye, and my sentiment is from an Amy R set, stamped in some more SU! ink.. Melon Mambo. I've added some delicious tricolour bakers twine from The Ribbon Girl, a mixture of paper flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some pearls and liquid pearls. Oh, there are also some Star Dust Stickles on her little orange bows. Too freakin' CUTE! I love how much detail Christy crams into these images!

Pretty niceee. :)

Thank you ever so much for stopping by. Be sure to pop over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog to see the other amazesauce projects the DT girls have brought for you! xo

Tiddly Inks Fantasy Friends

Good morning guys! How behind am I?! Completely forgot I've even had a blog these past few weeks. Scheduled the neccessary posts and BOOM - there I go and fall off the bandwagon again.

I've really been trying my hardest to get ahead with DT work - and unfortunately this new release is the one thing that has suffered!! But I PROMISE that the freakin' uni unicorn will be getting coloured up ASAP!! Fingers crossed - sometime this week. I know it's an older image, but he is HANDSOME.

So.. you guys already know what I'm wittering on about.. dont'cha?! You have SEEN Christy's blog already and drooled over all of the newbies and the creations from the DT. YES?! If not.. lazy bones.. see THIS POST and get caught up with it all!!

I would love to have a project to show you, but truth is I'm pants.

I would also love to have had left some commenting love over the past few weeks, but I'm totally behind with that. Do you begrudge me being off this laptop when the UK has actually been having a summer this past week or so? *grins*

So.. HEAD OVER TO CHRISTYS BLOG and CHECK. IT. OUT!!
You won't be dissapointed by the new images or the DT projects - trust me!!

Lots of LOVE!
Wednesday. Half way through the week. Almost FRIDAY! Can I get a big SMILE?! xD

Feeling Fruity at Passion for ProMarkers

Morning! Sorry this is up a little late. I was at work ALL DAY :'( yesterday, then stock take in the evening.. then I went and seen a late showing of The Dark Knight Rises last night, and by the time I got in the only thing I was good for was BED! :) I'm here now though.. and it's time for a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers.

This week we're being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, and the lucky winner will receive no less than SEVEN digi images of their choice! ;)

So.. you wanna know what you've gotta do to be in it to win it!! This week we have a brand new challenge..

FEELING FRUITY

Yeah. :) Interpret this any way you wish. With more of this summer weather making an appearance there are loads of fun, fruity images to choose from to suit the occasion. Can't wait to see what you decide to colour up! :) The DT girls have rocked this one with a whole mix of cute images! Head over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog and have a looksie!!

I've got something a little different to share with you all today, in the form of a bookmark. A bookmark.. which doesn't really form as a bookmark - considering it's just hanging over the cover of my Kindle. Gives a good impression though, doesn't it. It's cute. I love strawberries. :)

Those strawberries are from Some Odd Girl. :) I've used two, flipped one and made them different sizes. They look so pretty layered up like that. I can imagine a whole bowl of the beauties. Check out Strawberry from Some Odd Girl HERE.

I've coloured these using my ProMarkers, obviously! ;) In some luscious reds. They're little eyes add so much character. :) As for the sentiment, I pieced together a little pun using Harolds ABC's from Lawn Fawn. Heehee.

That's about all from me for today. Gotta get my butt into gear and get my magazine submissions finished and make a start on a bunch of wedding cards. Watch this space! ;)

Head over to the challenge blog now and see what the other amazing DT girls have created for this FEELING FRUITY challenge!!

We Want WASHI!!

Helloooooo all you colour addicts. Guess what?! It's the 15th of the month (or past.. now LOL) and that can only mean one thing!! A brand new challenge over at Designed to Color.

Can I get a "wooohooo"?! You gotta say "woooohooo!! LOL!

You guys already know Carisa is at CHA right now, getting Designed to Color OUT THERE, but back on home turf - the teamies have set up some GIVEAWAYS for our lucky followers. From the 16th through to the 19th there will be a GIVEAWAY each day!! Be sure to stop by the blog to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic stuffs!!

Soo.. our challenge to you this month is..

WASHI TAPE!!

We want to see all the ways you guys interpret it's use. There are soooo many pretty designs out there right now. I don't know about you.. but I want it ALL! It's a shame my bank balance won't allow that, heehee.

So I decided to use some striped and polka dot washi to create a backdrop of sorts on this gorgeous page in my Green SMASH* book. I like to tear the edges of my tape instead of cutting them - just adds a little more character! :)

I've gone down the mint green, soft aqua route. Kinda summery feel. Me thinks. I've coloured Some Odd Girl Tropical Mae with my ProMarkers, I then took three of the colours and stained some Color Me Crazy flowers to match the design. I'm kinda OCD when it comes to colour co-ordinating stuff. That's why it takes me so damn long to even PLAN a SMASH* page!!

Here are the ProMarker and FlexMarker colours I used for this image.
Skin: Saffron, Soft Peach, Rose Peach. Blush and Lips: Baby Pink
Hair: Cinnamon, Cocoa, Walnut, Umber, Black
Eyes: Arctic Blue, Sky Blue, Azure. Eyeshadow: Mint Green, Soft Green
Dress and Flips: Tea Green, Pastel Green, Mint Green, Soft Green
Hibiscus: Soft Lime, Lemon, Pink Lobster, Maroon

So.. what are you waiting for?! Head over to the Designed to Color blog NOW and get involved! Can't wait to see what you guys come up with. I know you will blow our socks off with your designs!

Heyyy Birdie

Morning guys! :) Boyyyy oh BOY have I had a mammoth colouring sesh these past two days. It has been fab, being able to just sit. Me, my pens and my music. I've been at my boyfriends all week and haven't been able to make any cards yet - but I've got the images lined up for when the time comes. ;)

Todayyyy is FABULOUS FRIDAY over at Tiddly Inks!! Have you guys been keeping up with the new releases?! Wowwwwwwzers is it FUN! Check them out over at Christy's Blog NOW!!

Soo.. today I decided to use Wryn and Wren.. only because I LOVE them. This is Too Tweet - an oldie but goodie! ;) The Wryn family has grown so much these past couple months.. and I just love it :)

I've coloured this cutie up using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers to match my papers from My Minds Eye - Howdy Doody collection. I've added some grass and flowers around her feet and a blue glow around her instead of the usual sky background.

I've kept the layout pretty simple, added some delicious orange twill stripe ribbon across the join in the two patterned papers, a big double bow, a little WOC 10mm rose, some mini pom pom trim aaaaaaand a little banner with my sentiment on. :) Simples.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Fab 'n' Funky - Summer Holiday
- Twisted Tuesday Challenges - A Holiday Pick Two
Stickles and Yellow
- Lexi's Creations - For a Friend

Be sure to stop by the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog and check what my awesome teamies have created to inspire you.

Take it easyyyy guys.

Ginghams or Checks

Yoohooo people! :) It's Tuesday, and that meaaaaaaaaaaaans it's time for a new challenge over at Passion for ProMarkers! Can I get a *woop - woop*

Now you say *woop - woop* LOL!! Wanna know what the theme is this week..

GINGHAMS OR CHECKS

Set by our lovely Jane from Milliesmarvels. Head over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog to see what is up for grabs by the lucky winner! ;)

So.. I decided to go down the ginghams route, as I've got some delicious gingham ribbons from The Ribbon Girl! I've used kinda.. warm autumnal colours on this card.. pairing my image up with some More Mustard cardstock from SU!and Max and Whiskers papers from Basic Grey.

Meet Simply Anya from The Greeting Farm - she's been coloured with.. PMs and FMs of course! I made this card a while back.. because I've been trying my hardest to get ahead with DT work (not sure how well that is actually going..) so unfortunately I don't have the slice of paper I wrote my combos down on! Soweee!! I love that red hair though - isn't it yummy?!

So.. I've added a kinda glow around Anya and added some little dots to match the papers - kinda like my last PfP card. I've cut her out using my largest circle nestie. This card is pretty light on embellishments - it was being mailed so I didn't want to add any big WOC flowers or anything. I've used my Bow-Easy to create a cute little double bow which I've added down the bottom of the circle. Hmm.. some delicious orange kinda gemstone brad thingys from Papermania to the right of the cirle aaaaaaaaand.. some little banners from Whimsy which I've stamped in Soft Suede ink onto some more More Mustard cardstock and hand cut them out.

How cute is that paper from Basic Grey?! Gahhh!! Perfect for an animal lover! :) Look at the little tortoise!! Heehee.

So I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
- Truly Madly Crafty Challenges - July Challenge: Animals

Head over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog NOW and check out what my other amazesauce teamies have come up with using either GINGHAMS or CHECKS!

Wednesday 4 July 2012

Just so sweet!

Morning guys! :) Thank you for stopping by today. How've you all been?!

It's Wednesday. Half way through the week. Yippeee!! I cannot WAIT for the weekend. Boy, has it been hot at work this week!! Seriously. It has totally taken it out of me lately. Who needs to pay for the gym when you can go to work and get paid to sweat?! LOL!!

So here is a card I made up a couple nights back using an image from Some Odd Girl I coloured up a few weeks ago while at my boyfriends. It's Tweet Kaylee - incase you didn't know! ;) I'm loving her hair - guess what.. I didn't write the freakin' colours down. Although I think I can kinda guess what I used!

This card is pretty.. flat. I'm sending it out with a package and didn't want it to get caught on anything or bulk up the envelope anymore than it already will be. So I've only added dimensionals to the image and a few of the punches flowers.

The yummy papers are from My Minds Eye - Indie Chic Nutmeg collection. LOVE those papers. I've teamed the papers up with some So Saffron, and Crumb Cake cardstock from SU! The sentiment is from Tiny Baker Tia stamped in Blue Bayou ink, again from SU!

Sooo. Not much more to say about this card! Thank you for stopping by.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
Some Odd Girl - July Sketch Challenge
Dream Valley Challenges - Things with Wings
I hope my little birdie counts!

Sketch Challenge at PfP

This is my second post for the day. If you're looking for some Tiddly Inks goodness click HERE

So I'm back again to share a card I made for my cousin who was.. 15? 16? last month. Anyway, he's a teenage boy, who I'm 100% sure isn't into pinks and flowers and glittery shstuff. So instead I used yellows, beiges and blues with some stars, alpha stickers, brads and distressing. Voila.

I've created this card using the SKETCH from the NEW CHALLENGE over at Passion for ProMarkers today. As soon as I seen it, I knew it'd be perfect for this card. Plus it was already open on my computer when I sat down to make it - fate? :) Mhm!

get-attachment.aspx

So I've used a stamp from My Guy Ian by The Greeting Farm - his hair and shirt kinda reminded me of how Kane looks. I've coloured him up using ProMarkers/ Flexmarkers and paper pieced his shirt. All of the papers are from My Minds Eye - Sunshine collection and I've distressed, inked and doodled the edges.

I've used the smallest polka dot patterned paper, in the world, ever, from the same collection to paper piece his shirt and shoes. Love how that looks! I've added a couple layers of Cool Grey 1 and 2 to the areas which needed shading. I think this helps to blend the paper piecing in with the image so it isn't so stark against the areas you've coloured. I hope you know what I mean. :)

I've tried to add a different sorta glow around this guy - I've used my usual Cool Aqua, Pastel Blue and Soft Aqua, but I've also added different sized dots using Mustard and Sky Blue while the ink was still wet. Kinda like it. It also helps to coordinate the image with the patterned papers more.

I've used a stamp from Some Odd Girl Birthday Mae to create the sentiment and die cut a bunch of stars with my Slice machine. Is it just me or do you gravitate towards stars when making boy/ male cards? Why the hell is that?! It sure does look good, I just wish I could bring a little more variety to the table for ya! LOL.

Yeahhh!! Be sure to head over to the Passion for ProMarkers blog and see what Team 2 have come up with using the very same sketch! :)

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges
- Kaboodle Doodle - A Boys Life
- Love to Create - Spots and Stripes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Cutie Pie Challenge - One for the Boys
Anyone for Anya - Anything Goes

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Tiddly Inks are Red, White and Blue

So it's.. how many days til the Olympics officially starts? About.. 24? EXCITED MUCH!! Obviously.. I'm not huge on sports.. HA! Although I do love to watch certain events, like the diving and the gymnastics. I might also try and catch the BMX stuff this year too. On the TV, of course.

Not only that though.. it's LONDON who are hosting it this year. Like you didn't already know. I mean.. I'm not the biggest patriot you'll ever meet.. but I mean, it's gonna be a proud moment. Isn't it? 2012 hasn't been such a bad year for Great Britain.. events wise anywho.

So why am I actually rabbiting on about this?! WELL BECAUSE.. We've a new challenge over at Tiddly Inks today.. and the theme just so happens to be..

RED, WHITE AND BLUE.

Which are the colours of..? The union jack.. as well as many other flags from around the world. I thought this challenge would be the perfect opportunity to make something a little out of my comfort zone.. in terms of projects. So.. I went with a bunting flag. Just the one. Only small. It's still not a card though.. Go with me on this.. LOL!!

I used a brand new image to the Tiddly Inks Wryn family. She was just released last week.. meet..

I've coloured her using ProMarkers and FlexMarkers as usual. I really gotta work on adding more contrast to my hair colours!! So I've added a sky and grass background to the labels 18 and added her to the red bunting flag. I've added some WOC flowers, a little flag with 'Team GB' stamped in Real Red ink! with Lawn Fawn alpha stamps.

I've threaded the two brads with some red twill stripe ribbon, which I'll use to hang it from.. somewhere.. I haven't decided yet! LOL. To finish off the space at the top I've added three little Whimsy flags which I've fussy cut out - saves monies on the die! ;)

So there ya have it. Red, white and blooo!! Head over to the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and see what my other teamies have whipped up!!

I'd like to enter this flag into these challenges:
- Incy Wincy Designs - Patriotism
I'm from the UK
- Tammys Scrappin Corner - Celebrations/ 4th July
- Sentimental Sundays - Be Patriotic

So, just out of interest, I thought I'd add a link to the whole Olympic schedue - http://www.london2012.com/schedule-and-results/ just incase anyone is interested in the line up. I know I am. :)

I spent last night getting caught up with stuffs - until about half past one in the morning!! :/ Tired.com.
I also had a scroll through my blog.. and.. it appears I have absolutely NO photos from about.. three weeks ago and backwards. Wow. Goodness knows where they've disappeared to?! Maybe they'll come back one day? I'm not getting my hopes up though - Blogger is useless! :( Makes me sad. I used to like to look back at older projects and see how far I've come. Never mind!! On wards and up wards!!

Take it easy, whatever your Tuesday will bring!

Catching up and FAQs!

Hey there, friends! I just wanted to say THANK YOU, each and everyone one of you, for all of your kind words and wishes on my TGF Blog Hop post which you can see here..

Right now, I'm just trying to catch up with everything and everyone. I've got emails heading into triple figures, 50+ blog comments to respond to (which I will further on in this post so stick around if you've asked me a question recently) and 101 things to get straight at home. As you can imagine, it wasn't an easy clean up operation at work after the floods - and I'm still recovering from my mission home that night! LOL.

So if you're waiting for an email or PM on FB from me - please know that I'm not ignoring you, I'm just totally snowed under! :/ Fingers crossed things will get back on track VERY soon!!

Okay, the first FAQ I get asked.. frequently.. is..
"How do you create your sky backgrounds?"
I've been asked over and over again what medium I use and if I can do a tutorial. I wasn't gonna go down the tutorial route, as there are plenty out there - but after all of the interest I've been receiving.. I think I will. Hopefully this month!! So keep your eyes peeled for that. As for what I use. A mask I created myself a cheap makeup sponge thingy.. and some Bashful Blue ink from SU! That's it!! Simple, pimple. I sometimes mix up the colours I used, depending on what look I'm going for. Like around Halloween I add a little Perfect Plum, to make it more like a night time sky.

"Could you do a tutorial on your Sepia colouring?"
I guess I probably could, I need to get myself on a tutorial roll, don't I?! LOL!! Incase you don't know, I use ProMarkers/ FlexMarkers as my 'colouring medium' so I will be listing PM and FM colours I use throughout any tutorials I will be doing.

"How do you get your bows so perfect?"
Two words. Bow-Easy. I bought mine HERE from Quixotic Paperie. I'll never look back. If you want the ribbon to be one continuous length around the whole card with your bow attached so to speak.. then practice makes perfect. Make sure your tails are where you want them before you pull the knot tight. Oh, and always make sure to 'fluff up' your loops before taking a photo - always makes them look better! :)

Okay, so three FAQ's ain't much. My blog is only ickle and has a few followers! I'm sure there are more *scratches chin* but I'm afraid I can't think of them off the top of my head.

If you have anymore questions you'd like to ask me - just leave me a comment and I'll do my best to get back to you about it in another blog post!!

Best run - gotta get ready for work. Ha. Work. Sick of the sight of the four walls! Nightmare.
What's that phrase? Another day, another dollar. Cheaaa, right!!
Over and OUT! xo
