Soothe Away The Day

Couldn't quite remember whether I had posted this card or not - so forgive me if you have a slight feeling of deja vu!! Thought I'd get another couple of posts scheduled while I had the ball rolling and the internet on. KWIM?! HA!

I used some long lost stickers from a long lost line from Basic Grey - I can't for the life of me remember the name. Alongside that I created a little sentiment on Word and die cut it using a labels eighteen nestie. Some thickers (which I am SICK of - luckily I still had two enns and an aahh to make this card, but other than that I'd be lucky if I could make another word out of the 8 or so sets I have left..) to create 'nan' - love that font!! Some added crochet lace, seam binding and bakers twine from The Ribbon Girl and some WOC flowers and pearl brads to finish the card off. A lot going on down the bottom of the card, but I kinda like the way it turned out. Oh, and some.. kraft coloured?! (the exact colour name escapes me..) swiss dot bazzill that I've been hoarding. Yumm!! :)

Enjoy your Saturday. xo

Wild Child at LLLC

Morning guys. :) Time for some more Friday Inspiration over at La La Land Crafts, with the fun theme of..

Wild Child!!

Naturally I had to use Outlaw Luka for this card.

I've coloured Luka with ProMarkers to match the papers from My Minds Eye.
Skin - Blush, Soft Peach, Rose Peach
Hair - Buttercup, Vanilla, Mustard, Gold
Jeans - Dove Grey, Powder Blue, Arctic Blue
Cool Grey 1-5, Black
Red, Poppy
Royal Blue, Indigo Blue
Meadow Green, Apple Green

I've kept the layout pretty simple, because we all know boys don't like a whole lot of fuss, right?!

Head on over to the La La Land Crafts blog now and see what other wild cards Team Friday have got to inspire ya!

Just as a little note on the side, for supplies and the like. I've used some scraps from Bo Bunny Gabrielle collection. I've die cut a labels four from the teal coloured paper and embossed it using a woodgrain pattern. I've adhered the other patterned papers at jaunty angles and wrapped some white polkadot organza ribbon from The Ribbon Girl around the card. I've used the Bow-Easy to create my double bow and added a little pink WOC 15mm rose. The sentiment is from an Amy R set and has been stamped in Brilliance Graphite Black - love how crisp that looks. Finally, I've used a 1" circle punch to take a chunk out of each corner. :) Job done.

Thanks for stopping by today, and enjoy the hop!

Shhhhh, it's a secret!!

Soo.. when Melissa said today was gonna be a very special day, what did you guys think she meant? ;) Luckily for you, today consists of a mini surprise celebration and fun giveaway. Make sure to stop by Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog to see what all the fuss is about!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRISTY!!
We love ya, girl!! Enjoy. :)

If you know Christy, you'll know that her fave combo is black and red - which is the one thing I have picked up on in the very short time I've "known" her. So naturally I had to go with that colour scheme.

I have, once again, used Wryn Birthday Girl and coloured her up with ProMarkers. I've used a few choice papers from My Minds Eye Rosy collection. What a wierd red that is. :/ Like.. a worn out red, but I kinda like it. Shame I can't seem to get it to match any of my ProMarkers, huh?!

I've kept the layout.. simple?! HA! Distressed and doodled a few of the edges and added some wide organza ribbon down the black panel. I've tied a little 'just for you' charm using some red bakers twine and a few red and black WOC roses finish off the embellishing.

I've sent this card, along with another *;)* to Christy - they're gonna be way late for her birthday, but I've apologised, and stuff like this is always nice to keep, right? Even though she'll probably receive 1000 other amazing cards off other fellow crafters!

So.. that's it from me. Head over to the Challenge Blog NOW and get in on the action!!

Happy Cupcake Day

Very late post from me. Again. Haven't been in the house very long today - been at work and have been tryna make the most of the warmer weather. More like tryna get my system used to it. This heat makes me want to hibernate! Unfortunately I've gotta get on with it.

So I've got a little Some Odd Girl creation to share with ya today. Boy oh BOY have I been having withdrawls from these images!! Had to jump back on the bandwagon and get one of these cuties coloured up. So I went with Baker Mae.

I've used some yummy papers from the new My Minds Eye collection - Howdy Doody collection and followed the sketch over at Some Odd Girl.

That's all from me tonight. Over and out.

Christy's Special Day at Tiddly Inks

Morning guys, this post is being partially typed on my boyfriends new iPad and partially on my broken laptop. Ha. I can't wait to see how this turns out! Luckily I have already scheduled the post and added my labels, because I can only see a slither of that on the screen right now! LOL!

Onwards and upwards. Some of you may, some of you may not. It's our very own Christy Croll's birthday in two days time. Just don't tell anyone I told ya. So in celebration of this special event, we're having a whole challenge dedicated to her! :)

CHRISTY'S BIRTHDAY BASH!!

I don't know about where you are, but the weather around north east England has been a bit lovely these past few days. I just wish it would stay like this, instead it's gonna keep heating up and I'm gonna wanna hibernate!! Aside from that, SPRING is definitely in the air, and I wanted to reflect that in my card, see. Bright, zingy, fresh colours. You like?!

I've used the super cute Wryn Birthday Girl - only fitting for the occasion I think you'll agree?! I've added some Cotton Candy Distress Stickles to the pink areas of the image to add a little more interest. I've coloured her up using ProMarkers and cut her out onto a panel which I've doodled around using a Regal Rose marker from SU!

The yummy (but hard to use) papers are from Cosmo Cricket UPcycle collection, and I've teamed them up with some felt from The Button Shack and some delicious aqua lace from The Ribbon Girl, which I've attached to the card using some ickle brads from Doodlebug. Obvs. :)

Head over to the Challenge Blog now and keep your eyes peeled for the awesome creations my other teamies have whipped up for our Boss Lady!! You won't be disappointed!!

Oh, and while I have your attention, don't forget to stop by the Tiddly Inks Blog between 3-7th April for our Frame The Moment 2nd Year Anniversary!! New designs, special guests, freebies and more!! You'd be stoopy not too!!

Mmmm, Choklit at Pollycraft

Here's another late one from me. Haven't had Internet access since Friday afternoon. Bloody TalkTalk annoy me NO END!! But you've heard it all here before. Seems like it's gonna be another never ending battle between me and technology. I do have a little slice of good news though. Eventually took my ass to PC World. Wish I hadn't bothered. Asked if they had a link for laptop batteries. They sent me to PartsMaster.com. EXTORTION!! They wanted £70 for a laptop battery.. for a laptop that is almost three years old. They can run and jump for me. Headed over to Amazon.. managed to pick one up for just under £25, although they wanted almost £6 p&p. Thieving!! It could take up to 12 days to arrive!! Is is just me or is that barmy?! What is going on with the world?!

SO!! With any luck, I'll be permanently attached to the internet once again, and won't be lagging behind so much. It's a little crazy how dependent you can get on these things, isn't it?! LOL!!

Anywho, before it gets any later. The challenge over at Pollycraft this week is..

Mmmm, Choklit.

A tasty theme set by our very own Cazza!! The DT have whipped up some yummy creations to get those creative juices flowing!

Here is what I've come up with using the new Celeste Amberglow - Cookin' Up Some Love.

She's cookin' up a storm right now. Look at the chocolate mix on her spoon?! Yumm!! Half the fun of baking a cake is eating the raw batter, right? Or.. is that just me?! LOL!! I've coloured her with ProMarkers and cut her out onto a panel. I've stamped a sentiment from Stampin' Up' in Rich Cocoa ink. :) I'd like to be spoiled with cake any day of the week.

I've used some papers from Cosmo Criket - Social Club and some chocolately coloured cardstock from Papercuts. :) I've die cut a few hearts and added some polkadot organza from The Ribbon Girl.

I'd like to enter this card into these challenges:
Lollipop Crafts - Anything Goes
Oh La La Creations - Thank You

Thanks for stopping by! :) I'm off to get my LATE Sugar Addicts Showcase Sunday post typed up! Pop back in 5 for that!!

*waves* Don't know if you seen.. but I've been showcased over at Sugar Nellie! HA! *big grin* Totally over the moon!!

Here is the card I made for the occasion.. using Lead The Way. I know, I know. It's not a Sassy - but head over to the Sugar Nellie blog and see the other cards Elaine picked. :)

I just want to thank everyone who left lovely comments over there for me. It means a lot. You guys make me blush!! A huge thank you to Elaine for even thinking about showcasing me. Her kind words are so sweet. She is a lady who has massive talent herself!!

Easter Wishes from LLLC

Morning guys! :) TGIF, huh?! This week has dragged on forever - looking forward to a weekend of crafting. Got a lot of behind the scenes DT work to be cracking on with, as well as a few orders. :) People like to keep my on my toes, that's for sure!

Today over at LLLC, Team Friday have got some inspiration for ya in the form of..

EASTER

I decided to use Easter Marci for my card - she looks so cute. Love that big hat and those frilly socks. Too cute!! I've followed the newest Sketch Saturday sketch, and used some more paper (scraps) from Sassafras Indie Girl collection. :) Good girl, ain't I?!

I've coloured Marci using ProMarkers and fussy cut her out.
Skin - Blush, Soft Peach, Rose Peach, Baby Pink
Hair - Buttercup, Vanilla, Mustard
Hat - Tan, Nutmeg, Cinnamon
Socks - Antique White, Putty
Blues - Dove Grey, Powder Blue, Arctic Blue
Greens - Meadow Green, Apple
Yellow - Pastel Yellow, Mustard

I've been trying something new - colouring Luka and Marci's eyes. Sorta giving them even more character. Only a really thin line of two, maybe three colours which blend well together. What do ya think?!

Check out the rest of my teamies creations over on the La-La Land Crafts Blog and be sure to link up in the Customer Gallery if you play along. You could be the lucky winner of our monthly prize. :)

Take it easy, and enjoy your weekend - whatever you get up to.

Sweet Birthday Wishes

Good morning. Tryna schedule a few more posts while I can. Due to not having permenant access to my laptop means I've had a lot of free time.. to.. create. LOL!! So I'm tryna share as many cards as I can. I've totally missed the Mother's Day slot, but I have plenty more up my sleeve - I just hope you won't get sick of seeing them! LOL.

Here is another card using some of the yummy new stamps from the latest Waltzingmouse Release.

I kept the layout pretty simple and stamped onto my cardbase, which is something I'm always a little dubious about, but hell - WMS make it so freakin' easy!! :) All of the border stamps are a little over 4 1/4" so it makes it dead easy. No lining up. :)

The new Compact Sentiments are the perfect size for many of my label nesties - and as you guys know, I have a few faves. So naturally I had to get this set.

Can't wait to create a few more cards with them. :)
